Audrey (Amaya) Yoder

Date of death  - April 27, 2024

Audrey was born in Delano, California on Sept. 10, 1958. She attended school in Hawthorne, California until grade six. In 1970 she moved with her family to Oregon and attended Silverton schools’ grades seven through ten.

Audrey finished High School at Molalla where she met her husband, Paul. Audrey and Paul were married March 30, 1979. They lived in Silverton, Oregon for eight years, where their children Laura and Ryan were born.

In 1990 Audrey, Paul, Laura, and Ryan moved to Yoder Store, where she lived until her passing. As co-owner of the store Audrey worked full time behind the counter, while at the same time raising two children and keeping house.

Audrey was an active member of Smyrna UCC Church, where she enjoyed working with children on craft projects and many Christmas pageants. She enjoyed art, reading and crocheting amigurumi.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Paul Yoder, her father, Philip Amaya (Linda), her mother, Elsie Stadeli (Otto), her daughter Laura Yoder (Chad), her son Ryan Yoder (Romaric), her sister Loretta McCool (Randy), her brother Philip Amaya (Lisa) and her sister Elsa Hominda (Rod).

A memorial service for Audrey will be held at Smyrna UCC, May 11, 2024, at 10am. Donations in memory of Audrey can be made to the Smyrna UCC Glenda Yoder Sano Scholarship Fund.
