Delores Irene (Lindland) Williams

Delores Irene Williams, 95 of Molalla, Oregon , passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at her home with family at her side.

A family graveside service was held Monday June 24, 2024 at Adams Cemetery, Molalla Oregon. There will be a Celebration of Life Saturday July 13, 2024 at Molalla Nazarene Church at 11 am.

Delores was born in Oregon City, Oregon to Ben and Dorthy Lindland on October 28, 1928. She attended school in Molalla, graduating from Molalla High School May 31, 1946. Delores went on to study hairdressing and cosmetology at the Portland Beauty Academy, graduating in the class of 1947, after which she opened her own shop "Dees" in Molalla. She practiced until her second child was born, sold her Salon, and worked the rest of her days to be the best wife, daughter, sister, auntie, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend she could be. July 31 , 1952, Delores married, William"Bill" Williams in San Luis Obispo, California, where Bill was stationed with the US Army. Their marriage of 35 years ended in 1987 upon Bill's death following a battle with multiple myeloma.

Alongside her husband, Delores was very active in the community she so loved and her church Grace Lutheran of Molalla. She was a member of Grace Women, the neighborhood Pastime Club, the Rebekah Lodge, Molalla Bowling leagues, and a full-time volunteer of the Molalla Buckeroo Association all through the times Bill was a member. Delores was known for entertaining family and friends with delicious meals, her cinnamon rolls and a beautiful presentation in the home she and Bill built on South Eves Road in Molalla.

Delores is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Williams, parents Ben and Dorthy Lindland-Averill, stepfather Bill Averill, sister Darlene Dunrud, her niece Denise Dunrud Hubbard, nephew Dan Dunrud and Denny Dunrud brother-in-law.

Survivors include her three children Elisa "Cub" Schofield, husband Jay, Lori "Berm" Newman-husband Craig, Bill "Beeb" Williams- wife Jenny. Seven grandchildren, Elisa, Sean, Bryan, McKenzie, Kyle, Cole and Caden and seven great-grandchildren Kenyon, Samara, Kingston,Willow, Craigen, Bristol and Briar.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Molalla Grace Lutheran Alter Guild in Delores' memory.
