Sherrel (Marshall) Stephens

Sherrel Marshall Stephens passed from this life July 4, 2026 following complications from surgery. She was born in Oregon City to Florence and Theodore “Dory” Marshall joining older siblings James, Willis, Bruce, Bard, and Marlene.

She attended Clarkes Grade School and lost her mom in 1958 when she was 11 years old. Dory remarried Irma in 1962 whom Sherrel really loved. Sherrel graduated from Molalla Union High School with the class of 1964. She was a member of Future Teachers of America, active in the music program as a member Girls Glee, senior musical, and Socialaires. She and three others were the accompanists for the all the school vocal and instrumental groups including playing for graduation ceremonies.

Sherrel gave up a scholarship to continue her music education to marry to Ron Nelzen. They had one daughter, Ronda. During those years, Sherrel was school secretary for Clarkes Grade School.

After her marriage ended, Sherrel started her own medical billing business and moved to Washington. It was during this time she met and married Mike Stephens and became stepmom to Mike’s four daughters. They moved several times going to Las Vegas, Redmond, and finally retired from medical billing and moved to McMinnville.

In 2015 Sherrel started another company called DoTerra Essential Oils USA which she continued to operate until her death.

Sherrel was predeceased by her mother, father, and her five siblings. She leaves behind her daughter Ronda Goddard, grand-daughter Savannah “Savvy”; husband Mike, his daughters--Eliesha, Amy, Kristi, and Jalaina; grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will greatly miss her.
