Thomas Phillip Steiner
Tom, a lifetime resident of Molalla, died Friday, Aug. 5 while
battling lung disease.
He was born July 2, 1937. He attended OTI in Klamath Falls before being drafted into the U.S. Army, serving his term in Germany. After returning home to Molalla, he started his own businesses, Steiner Diesel and Clackamas Logging Supply, which he owned for 45 years. Tom had a passion for tree farming and won the Golden Axe award. He took pride in his ranch and herd of Black Angus. Tom is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ruthann; daughter, Erika; son-in-law, Paul Koos; brother, Jon Steiner and sister, Karin Satrum. Entrepreneur, husband and father, Tom will forever be the treasure in our heart. “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure” - Anonymous. There was a family graveside service on Aug. 11. A celebration of life will follow at a later date and time; details will be announced.
