Harold (Dewey) Lee Smidt
November 11, 1937 - April 9, 2016 Harold (Dewey) Lee Smidt was born in Oregon City on November 11, 1937. He passed away April 9, 2016. He graduated from Molalla High School in 1955 and later worked in construction and then as a farmer in Carus. He married Helen Tennis in 1956. Dewey belonged to Molalla Masonic Lodge 178 AF & AM; Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and Nut Growers Association. He is survived by wife Helen; daughter, Melissa Klatt, Prineville; sons Michael & Mark, both of Oregon City; brothers, Murl (Tim) Smidt and Steve Smidt both of Canby. Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Canby FFA or any charity of your choice.
