Elsie Pearl (McCallum) Shields

Elsie Pearl Shields, 90 years old, went to reunite in heaven with her husband and two sons on July 1, 2020.

Elsie was born on May 22, 1930 to Otta Flagg and George McCallum in Oakesdale, Washington. Elsie moved to Colton, Oregon to raise her 2 boys and worked at a hardware store.

After retirement, Elsie spent a lot of time as a snowbird in Hawaii. Eventually she moved to Pahoa, Hawaii and lived there for several years.

Elsie then moved back to Salem Oregon to be closer to her family. Elsie lived in Salem for over 20 years.

Elsie is survived by her two granddaughter, Stephanie Shields Leon of Beaverton Oregon, and Jennifer Shields of Hillsboro Oregon. Elsie is predeceased by her son Jimmy Shields (1968), husband James Shields (2004), and son Stephen Shields (2018). Elsie will be laid to rest with her husband James Shields at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon on July 10, 2020.
