Linda Sue (Harris) Settje

Linda (Harris) Settje, age 77, passed away September 20, 2024 at the Hillsboro Medical Center. Linda had been in poor health for more than a year. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Settje.

Linda was born m Pendleton, Oregon on May 25, 1947 and grew up in Athena, Oregon. After graduating from high school she attended Eastern Oregon College in La Grande, Oregon where she studied Education. Her teaching career started in Clatskanie, Oregon where she taught Physical Education and Health and coached girl's basketball, volleyball and Track and Field.

After a few years she moved to Molalla, Oregon where she continued teaching and coaching for many years, finally retiring after more than 30 years in Education.

Linda was physically active her entire life. She participated in adult softball and was an avid golfer. She also assisted her husband Dale with USAA Track. She also helped with Oregon high school state track meets and the Olympic track trials in Eugene. Linda had no children but is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She will be buried with her family in Athena, Oregon. A memorial service will be held in Molalla at the Arrowhead Golf Course on November 2nd at 1pm. The public is invited.
