Date of death  - March 3, 2025

Glen Arthur Robertson, 81, of Marquam, Ore., passed away peacefully on the evening of March 3, 2025 at Meridian Park Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and an unmatched sense of humor.

Born on May 26, 1943, in Silverton, Ore., to Ora and Francis Robertson, Glen grew up in rural paradise that shaped his lifelong passion for farming, mechanics, and the simple joys of country living. He attended Butte Creek Grade School and later graduated from Molalla Union High School in 1961. In 1962, Glen married Sheryl Melum and together they had three daughters (Julie, Gayla and Dena) that were raised in the Molalla Community.

Glen later moved to Marquam in 1989. Glen was a skilled truck driver and mechanic. He drove long-haul trucks, log trucks and gravel trucks while fixing them along the way. His dedication was most evident in his years at Avison Lumber Company, where he worked as the "truck boss" and later at Avison's rock quarry until retirement.

One of Glen's favorite pastimes was rodeo. Glen was a dedicated member of the Molalla Buckeroo Association. He even served as President in the early 1980's, spearheading efforts to expand seating at the association's then-new location. When not behind the wheel of a truck or supporting the rodeo, Glen could be found tending to his farm. He loved raising cattle alongside his brother, Larry, and found peace in the rhythms of rural life. His legacy lives on in the stories shared by his friends and family, who knew him as a hardworking, loyal man.

Glen is survived by his two daughters, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who carry on his spirit of resilience. He is preceded in death by his father, Francis Arthur Robertson (1969); his mother, Ora Ruth Skirvin Robertson (2003); his brother, Larry Robertson (2018); and his youngest daughter, Dena Robertson (2022).

A Celebration of Life will be held in Glen's honor on April 12, 2025 at 3 p.m., at Markum Inn, located at 36903 Highway 213 in Mt. Angel, Ore. Friends and family are invited to join to share stories, laughter and memories as we celebrate a man who is already greatly missed.
