I received a call today from her husband that Darlene Dugan Rees passed away yesterday from a long bout with Altzheimers.

She was a [Molalla Buckeroo] princess in 1965, the court I was on. She was not only a member of the Royals, but was a lifelong friend of mine.

We spent our early years riding our horses on the hill that separated our farms. In these last years I sort of lost touch with her but know she was active in helping young aspiring rodeo court hopefuls polish their skills.

No public memorial is being planned but anyone wishing to send condolences to her family can send to 17051 S Beckman Rd, Oregon City, OR 97045.
