Services for Barbara "Ilene" Ramsey of McMinnville will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the Fireside Room at First Baptist Church, McMinnville. The Rev. Kent Harrop will officiate.
Mrs. Ramsey died Thursday, March 5, 2009, in her home. She was 75.
Born Feb. 17, 1934, in Rainier, she was the daughter of Erwin and Ethel (Perkins) Boyd. She grew up in various areas of Oregon, graduating from Molalla High School in 1951.
She and Angelo Rovetto were married in June of 1952 while living in Idaho. They later divorced.
Mrs. Ramsey moved to Portland in 1980. She worked for the Veterans Hospital until she retired in 2001.
She came to McMinnville in 2001. She enjoyed gardening, camping, playing cards and bingo. She loved Westerns.
In her younger years, she was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include a son, David Rovetto of Portland; three daughters, Cheryl Martin of McMinnville, Sharon Rovetto of Sheridan and Crystal Ramsey of Aberdeen, Wash.; a brother, Daniel Caswell of Greensboro, N.C.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cliff Boyd.
Arrangements are under the direction of Macy & Son Funeral Directors.
