Madeline Marie (Wells) Philpot

Madeline Marie Wells was born to George (Gib) and Marie Wells on September 20, 1946. She attended Butte Creek Grade School and was a graduate of Molalla High School with the Class of 1964. She worked for her father at Wells Accounting until her marriage, November 5, 1965.

She was married for fifty-four years to Melvin (Ron) Philpot. Together they raised five children in the Molalla area before moving to Arizona. For 26 years they lived in Surprise, Arizona where they enjoyed not only the dry climate, but also traveling and site-seeing around the State. She liked to travel and loved visiting and revisiting her favorite destination—Disney World—on several occasions.

After deciding to return to the Northwest, Ron and Madeline came back to Oregon. Shortly thereafter, Madeline suffered a severe stroke and spent the last days of her life at Hospice Home. Madeline was a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, a friend to many and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Madeline was pre-deceased by her parents George and Marie Wells. She is survived by her husband, Ron; children Cody, Casey, Ronnie, Shane and Darby; seven grandchildren, brother, Rodney and sister-in law Judy Wells.

A private service and interment was held for her at Willamette National Cemetery.
