Nina Georgette (Nees) Orfield

Nina Orfield suddenly passed away on Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at 45 years young and has joined her beloved parents.

Nina was born on April 6th, 1980 in Calcutta India. She was later adopted by her loving parents, Liliane and Charles Nees. She had many connections in her short life. She was a beloved grandmother, a life partner, mother, and friend, who will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Nina grew up in Molalla, Oregon she was a parent's true miracle, their one and only child. From a young age she had this passion for music, avoiding girly things, swimming, and Nascar. Nascar was something special she shared with her dad, a lifetime dream she never forgot. She loved sleepovers and playing pool in the converted garage, with country music always playing loudly in the background. As she grew her love of music always stayed with her, she joined her high school band, and marching band, playing the clarinet.

After High school she was briefly married, and had two children. While going through her divorce and discovering how to be a single parent, she had many jobs, and picked up college, she may have struggled to keep up with every step life threw at her, but she worked hard achieving her associates and later on her bachelor in early childhood development and her masters in English Literature.

Nina had so many professions and jobs, achieving whatever she set her mind to, her biggest achievement was her family. Spending as much time with her kids, grandson, and life partner Michael Peterman. Her grandson brought her so much joy in her life, she was so happy to have the title Grammie. She always loved everybody she encountered, whether it was a short passing. She was always helping, she always wanted the best for everyone, and will be deeply missed by every life she touched around her.

Nina was preceded in death by her father and mother Charles and Lilian Nees. She is survived by her children: DaLylia Orfield, DaKoda Orfield; Her life partner Michael (Peterman); and her Grandson Levi.

A viewing will be held at Molalla Funeral Chapel, 220 East Main Street, Molalla, Oregon at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday January 3rd, 2026.
