Jean Dee (Harrington) "Queenie" Keegan

The eldest of twin daughters born to Edward (Lee) and Agnes Barth Harrington.

Jean and her twin sister Joan were born in Dallas Oregon on August 8th, 1939.

The family resided in Marquam Oregon. Jean and Joan attended Butte Creek Elementary School and graduated from Molalla Union High School in 1957.

Jean married Thomas E.P. Keegan at St Mary's Catholic Church in Mt Angel, Oregon, July 13, 1957. After their marriage Tom and Jean moved to Molalla Oregon where they purchased their first home on Warrick Road. It was a "FlXER" on a beautiful acre of property with many oak trees. They raised their 6 children plus their daughter's best friend in the modest 3 bedroom, I bath, 900 square foot home. Jean loved the outdoors, always digging in flower beds and working in the yard. For many years Jean and Tom enjoyed growing an enormous garden and would share their abundance of vegetables with friends and family.

ln the l 970's Jean became a member of the Molalla Jayceettes (Junior Chamber of Commerce for Ladies) and later was an active member of the Molalla Women of the Moose Lodge until death.

Jean and Tom purchased the Elbow Room Tavern in 1982 and renamed it Keegan's Korner. They owned and operated the tavern and restaurant for approximately 22 years. They were well known for their delicious fried chicken and homemade sweet-hot mustard.

Everyone LOVED Jean for her bubbly personality, positive attitude, infectious laugh and "YOU HOO". Jean was also known for her high energy and many years of dedicated and devoted volunteer work to the Molalla Moose Lodge and the community.

Jean is predeceased by her Parents; Edward (Lee) and Agnes Barth Harrington. Husband; Tom E P Keegan and two Sons; Joseph (Tony) Anthony Keegan and James Chistopher Keegan.

Jean is survived by her Twin Sister; Joan Lee Harrington Quigley. Daughters; Tracy Jean Keegan, Mary Agnes Keegan Fronk and husband Dean Fronk. Loved as a Daughter; Dorothy Muse Matthaeus. Sons; Thomas Patrick Keegan and wife Kathy Keegan, John Lee Keegan and partner Cheryl Gunderson. Sister-in-law; Patricia Keegan Schonbachler. 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren.

A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 301 Frances Street in Molalla, Saturday June 29th. 11:00AM - 12:30PM.

Immediately following family and friends are also invited to share in the Celebration of Lives and full BBQ reception for Jean and her son Tony Keegan at the Molalla Moose Lodge, 419 Eckard Ave, Molalla between 1 :00PM - 4:00PM.

A private family burial will be held at Miller Cemetery in Silverton Oregon.
