— Carl Jackson, 56, was born to Carl and Barbara (Friton) Jackson in Oregon City on Dec. 29, 1953.

He graduated from Molalla High School in 1972 and joined the Marine Corps. He moved to the Silverton area four years ago.

He is survived by his sister, Donna Rue, of Silverton.

A memorial was held Saturday at Silverton Immanuel Lutheran Church in Silverton.

 Interment will be at Valley View Lutheran Cemetery.
