Nancy Heiligman

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at the St. Thomas More Newman Center in Eugene for Nancy Heiligman of Eugene, who died Dec. 6, 2010 of cancer. She was 58.

She was born July 24, 1952, in Oregon City to Winfield and Ona Knutdson Muffett. She married George Heiligman on March 23, 1974, in Eugene. She held a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Oregon. She worked in education finance for the Eugene School District, the Oregon Chancellor’s Office and Oregon State University.

Survivors include her husband; her mother; a daughter, Kate Heiligman of Sonoma, Calif.; a son, Reed of Chicago; a sister, Christine Calley of Coquille; and four brothers, Winfield Muffett of Portland, Robert Muffett, Dean Muffett and John Muffett, all of North Bend.
