Kowyla Ettestad, 58, died Aug. 10, 2010 in Oregon City.

She was born Nov. 10, 1951 in Wichita, Kan. to Glenn Hatch and Helen Douglass. She graduated from Molalla High School in 1970 and married Galen Ettestad on Dec. 10, 1971.

She was the owner and operator of the Molalla Telephone Answering Service for the past 28 years. She loved being around her family and grandchildren, who will always remember her for putting others first. Survivors include her husband, Galen Ettestad; children, Jeremy Ettestad, Bryce Ettestad and Kaysha Isom; grandchildren, Lincoln Isom, Jace Ettestad and Wyatt Isom and brothers, Bruce Brown and Byron Hatch.

Services will be held Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. at Canby Church of the Nazarene. Byron Hatch and Gary Schuknecht will officiate. Burial will be at Adams Cemetery. Molalla Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Adams Cemetery Association.
