Lynn Elmer Dunton Date of birth - April 23, 1946 Date of death - March 28, 2024 Lynn was born to Elmer and Virginia Dunton as the youngest brother to Vic, in Oregon City, Oregon. His younger years found him outside romping with his dog, playing tag with Joker or riding his horse Shirrel. He attended school in Molalla, where he excelled in athletics and music. Molalla had many successful seasons while he played football, basketball and baseball. He pushed on in music and academics throughout his athletic career. Lynn attended Cascade College where he met, fell in love and married Donna Lucich, on December 27th, 1968. He graduated from George Fox and got his Masters from Lewis and Clark. With a Minor League baseball contract, and a scouting letter from the San Francisco 49ers, Lynn decided to teach and coach while working at Dunton Realty. He enjoyed golfing as often as possible. Lynn retired after 30 years of working at USPS. Lynn lived his faith by loving and including everyone. He told jokes often, even to total strangers just to make them smile. Lynn and his wife Donna of 55 years, enjoyed a full and adventurous life together. They always included friends and family in their travels and daily traditions, like playing cards. Lynn treasured his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His service will be Saturday April 20th, 1pm at Oregon City Evangelical Church. |
