Nancy Ann (Willeford) Collins Date of birth - December 3, 1958 Date of death - April 17, 2026 Nancy Ann Willeford Collins, 67, a resident of the Oregon City community, passed She was raised in Molalla, OR and attended Molalla Union High School, graduating with the Class of 1977. She attended Oregon State University, Montana State University, and graduated June 15, 1983 from Portland State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Finance Law. Starting as a young woman she worked in medical clinics with her father Dr. A.B Willeford. In the mid 1980s she began working at the McLean Clinic in Oregon City working in medical billing and office administration. She was grateful and forever cherished the friends and memories she made at McLean Clinic. On August 26, 1989, she married Torry Lane Collins. Together they built a log cabin style home in the foothills of Molalla and had four children. In 1993 she gave birth to Austin, the first of her four sons. Followed by twin boys Gabe and Brent in 1995. In 1998 her youngest Garret was born. In 1999 she left McLean Clinic to raise her four children full time. From 1999 to 2015 she was an integral part of the Colton community, frequenting countless sporting events and school activities. Raising her children and supporting them in their extracurricular activities was her passion in those years. In 2007 Nancy and Torry were divorced and she moved to Oregon City. From 2014 to 2017 she worked for Providence Health & Services in Portland OR. In 2018 she was diagnosed with melanoma and breast cancer. She underwent treatment and overcame both cancers, all while maintaining an optimistic and positive mindset. Unable to work in the years after her cancer, she spent her time at the Oregon City Library, music concerts, and with friends and family. In 2025 she was diagnosed with melanoma and again after a year of treatment she bravely achieved remission. Nancy was an avid sponsor of NPR, Sierra Club, Shriners Children's Hospital and Defenders of Wildlife. Nancy was a soft spoken but brave warrior with uncommon strength and resilience. She demonstrated boundless empathy and love for those she knew well and even for strangers she just met. Nancy will be laid to rest at the Adams Cemetery in Molalla OR. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her four sons, her four brothers, and several cousins and extended family that she loved deeply. She will be forever missed. |
