Larry A. Bentley, 78, of Captain Cook, Hawaii, a retired carpenter and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Marion County, Ore.

He is survived by wife Eleanor L.; son Jeffrey S.; daughters Marcia Yanagi, Peggy Tinguely and Shannon Krska; parents Elba Hamrick and Thomas C. Bentley; brothers James and Robert; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
