Delores Ruth (Poppe) Bennett Delores Ruth (Poppe) Bennett of Molalla, 77, died at her home on Sept. 1, 2010. She was born Jan. 13, 1933 in High Bridge, Wis. to Ernest and Mae Poppe. She attended school in High Bridge until her sophomore year of high school, when her family moved to the Molalla area. She graduated from Molalla High School in 1950. On Oct. 13, 1950 she married Bob Bennett at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Angel. She worked in the office at Molalla High School from 1969-1981 and at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Forest Grove from 1981-1998, where she made quilts for world relief. She belonged to Grace Lutheran Church in Molalla. She made yearly trips to Wisconsin in the fall to see the trees’ changing colors, and she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Survivors include her husband; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Jayne Poppe of Onalaska, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Gary Faulhaber of Molalla; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Karri Bennett of Craig, Alaska; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Don Riggs of Molalla; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel R. Bennett and James E. Bennett. Services were held Sept. 4 at Molalla United Methodist Church.
