Richard Allan Kelly


Richard Allan Kelly, 58, died at home in Molalla on Sept. 6. 2014, of a chronic long-term illness and cancer resulting in multiple organ failure.

He ws born May 1, 1956, in Newport, Wash., to Richard nnd Jewel Kelly. He graduated from Molalla Union High School in 1974. He was a Motor Mechanic for Integrated Power Services. He also worked at Clackamas County Road Department, Publishers Lumber Mill, Kassbohrer (parts for snow cats), Precision Castparts, Freightliner, and for Greer Manufacturing.

He married Wendy Kelly on June 1, 1985, in Gresham, OR. He was a member of Molalla Christian Church, Life member of the NRA, steward for TOCIWA and Machinists. He retired in 2012 due to his illness. His volunteer work and hobbies included: Hunter Safety Instructor, Boy Scout Leader, hunting, collected antique woodworking tools. reading-especially Science Fiction, Cars, and scuba diving.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy; sons, Richard Ward Kelly (Jori, age 3) of Tishomingo, OK, Marine Seth Allan Kelly (wife Jessica and Kaydence, age 3) of Tishomingo, OK and Merrit Lee Kelly of Molalla; father Richard T. (Pat) Kelly of Molalla; brothers,
Brian (Cindy) of Shiloh, IL, and Michael of Molalla; sister, Virginia McCullah (Rick) of Molalla. He was preceded  in death by his mother, Jewel V. Kelly.

Service was held at Molalla Christian Church. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hunters Safety Education, ODFW.
