Doris Virginia (Pederson) Greig

Date of Birth: February 12, 1922

Date of Death: December 13, 2020

Doris Virginia Greig passed away of natural causes Dec. 13, 2020 at the age of 98.

Doris spent most of her youth in Molalla but moved with her family to Portland where she graduated from Roosevelt High. She was a member of the school's women's basketball team and her continued love for sports was known by everyone close to her and made her an uber-Blazer fan as well as a cheerleader for both Oregon State and the University of Oregon teams.

After graduation Doris moved back to Molalla where she took a job as a clerk with the administrative staff of Molalla High School. She met her husband-to-be, Malcolm Greig, who was working in the area as an accountant for Crown Zellerbach. Doris and Mal were married at the Molalla Christian Church July 26, 1958 and though they moved several times during their life together they eventually returned to Molalla where they lived until Mal's death in 2015.

They spent many of their retired years vacationing together across the U.S.A. and Canada, the ultimate car road-trippers.

Doris was predeceased by her parents; and only brother, Jack Pederson; and is survived by Jack's daughters, Susan Jackson and Nancy Bush; and by her husband's brother, Earle Greig and his family.

She will be interred at Adams Cemetery in Molalla next to her beloved husband's remains.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
