June 30, 1922 - December 7, 2011

SALEM- Ray, a Salem resident was born at Mulino, Oregon, the son of the late Jesse L. Daniels and Venita Gregory Daniels. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou; two sisters, Nita Kimmel and Audrey Robertson and daughter, Amelia Adkins. He is survived by his children, Judith Daniels, Linda Spence-Goerke and Greg W. Daniels of Salem; four Grandchildren; four Great-grandchildren and two sisters, Colleen Evans of Mulino and Joan Johanson of Tigard.

Ray served four years in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He owned two paving companies and was a road and street contractor. At his request, no services or memorial will be held. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.

Jesse Ray Daniels, age 89, of Salem and who lived in Mulino about 27 years, died December 7, 2011.

Ray was born June 30, 1922 in Mulino to Jesse L. Daniels and Venita Gregory Daniels.

He served four years in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He owned two paving companies and was a road and street contractor.

Survivors include his children, Judith Daniels, Linda Spence-Goerke and Greg W. Daniels of Salem; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Colleen Evans of Mulino and Joan Johanson of Tigard.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou; parents; two sisters, Nita Kimmel and Audrey Robertson; and daughter, Amelia Adkins.

At his request, no services will be held. Arrangements were handled by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem.
