Arleta Marie Hepler Childers Arleta Marie Hepler Childers passed away at the age of 78 on September 2, 2014, at Hope Village in Canby, Ore. She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Childers. Arleta was born in Molalla, Ore. on April 6, 1937, to Clyde and Dorothy Hepler. She graduated from Molalla High School in 1955. After attending Linfield College and Oregon College of Education, she completed her degree at Mount Angel College, graduating with her husband, Stan. Arleta and Stan were married on March 1, 1958. They were devoted to teaching, most notably their time teaching in Alaska, of which she had many fond memories. She will be remembered by all as a fiercely devoted teacher, mother and grandmother. Arleta is survived by her daughters, Chanon Malmberg of Molalla, Ore. and Dorothy Cruz of Hubbard, Ore; sons, Wesley Childers of Pocatello, ID, and Stanley Childers, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; 14 grandchildren; 16 Great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many friends and former students. A memorial celebrating her life took place on September 6 at Arrowhead County Club.
