| 1931 MUHS Basketball Team

I ran across this the other day and decided to transcribe it. The gym in 1931 was what we called the “Old” gym in the 1950’s after the “New” gym was built ( the one that burned, not to be confused with Capasso Court at the current campus). The old gym had beams sitting atop the brick walls to support the roof. There was nothing connecting them to the walls, and during the earthquake, they moved and nearly came down. --- Joel Daniels, class of 1959.
